General#

The tool window height is continuously growing when I expand tabs

When this happens, it is usually due to the size of the systems display text.

Solution:

  1. On Windows 10, RMB 2 click on the desktop and choose Display settings
  2. Set the Change the size of text, apps, and other items value to 100%
The tool tips don't show up when I mouse hover over a button
  1. Please go to Windows > Settings/Preferences > Preferences > Interface > Help
  2. In here, make sure that "Display ToolClips" is enabled

Build Kit#

The Interface keyboard shortcuts stopped working

The tool can sometimes lose focus, even when the tool actually has focus.
Thus the keyboard shortcuts stop working.

Solution:

  1. Simply reload the tool.
After closing a settings page, it's still around, but blank

It happens that a settings page turns blank and does not dissappear.

Solution:

  1. Collapse all tabs by Alt clicking the active page icon.

Shader Toolkit 1.2#

When I launch the Shader Toolkit 1.2 the cogwheel icon for the settings is not loading
  1. Please go to Windows > Settings/Preferences > Plug-in Manager
  2. In the manager look for "gameFbxExporter.mll"
  3. Check "Loaded" and "Auto load" and click on Refresh at the bottom of the Manager
  4. Relaunch/Reload the Shader Toolkit

  2. RMB - Right Mouse Button ↩
